COMMUNITY EDUCATION

Utilizing the concept of the "Little Red Schoolhouse" as the center of the community, we are able to offer a wide range of services for students young and old and encourage the commitment to "Lifelong Learning."

Classes are offered in three semesters each year - spring, summer, and fall - and are developed in response to the assessed needs and requests of the community. The classes not only provide enrichment opportunities but also offer training in many work-related fields.

Classes are taught on 10 Northside school campuses and at a dozen other sites in the community. The bulk of classes are in the evening, but daytime classes are also scheduled. More than 8,000 students enroll each semester in the 500 or so classes offered.
Continuing Education Credits (CEU's), Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC's), andCertification Programs are arranged for specific occupations. These include teaching, accounting, counseling, social work, daycare, and in legal, medical, computer and office fields.
Funding: The classes are all tuition-based and operate self-sufficiently
