Texas Bluebonnet Program

The Texas Bluebonnet Award was established in 1979 to encourage Texas children to read more books, explore a variety of current books, develop powers of discrimination, and identify their favorite books. The award process provides librarians, teachers, parents, and writers with insight into young students' reading preferences. It further affords an opportunity to honor and encourage imaginative authors who create books with high appeal to children.

Adams Hill Bluebonnet Program

Adams Hill Students in grades 3-5 are eligible to participate in the Texas Bluebonnet Award program.  The 2006-2007 Bluebonnet collection consists of twenty books.  In January, all students who have read at least five of the twenty books will be eligible to vote for their favorite.

Students will be required to complete a form rating the book.  The form must be signed by a parent, guardian, or teacher.  Students who read all twenty books will receive a certificate at the end of the year.
