Library Activities Book Fair Safari The Fall Book Fair Safari will open for sales on Oct. 16th at 8AM. Classes will be signed up to attend a preview of the Book Fair on Oct. 15th. Teachers will have a specific day and time that students will go as a class to purchase books. Students are welcome to come any day with money to make a purchase. Every day, Oct. 16th, 17th, and 20th, the Book Fair will be open from 8AM until 3:30PM. On October 21st, Adams Hill is having a Family Academic Night and the Book Fair will be open on that day from 8:00AM-7:30PM. This is the last chance to purchase from the Fall Book Fair. Profits from the Book Fair go directly to the Library to purchase new books, equipment, and special guests for our school.
Papel Picado Artist Kathleen Trenchard will visit our school and present the art of papel picado to the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades on Wednesday, Oct. 29th. Students will enjoy a demonstration of authentic papel picado (punched paper) techniques and materials. They will learn how this unique folk art is used for celebrations in Mexico, and the history of its evolution from European, Asian and pre-Columbian art forms. Miss Anastasia and Miss Bindergarten Visit Adams Hill! Storyteller, Miss Anastasia, will visit with the PreK, Kinder, 1st , and 2nd grades on Thursday, Oct. 30th. She will bring her good friend Miss Bindergarten.
