Coach
Alexander has been a long-time San Antonio and NISD coach. Coach
Alexander came to NISD in 1992, after a very successful club and high
school coaching career in Minnesota.
As
an athlete, Coach Alexander was an 8-time Canadian National Champion in
Pentathlon and a member of the 1976 Canadian Olympic Team.
His
coaching career began in Apple Valley,
MN, where he coached the Valley Dolphins and Apple Valley
High School. In 1988, ’89, ’91, and
’92, Apple Valley
won the Minnesota High School State Championships.
Jack
came to NISD in 1992 and began teaching PE at Adams Hill Elementary.
He has coached in numerous Alamo Area sites and NISD high schools,
as well as Masters and Triathlon teams.
Coach
Alexander has developed numerous TAGS, high school All-American, and Junior National qualifiers.
Most recently, he was National Sprint Champion in Triathlon in both
2005 and 2006.
His
children all swam at Northside. His
oldest daughter, Shantel, still holds a number of Warren
High School
records. Paulina is currently
an All-American at the University of the Incarnate Word, while Jackson
has been a record-breaker at O’Connor High School.
