ASCA Certification - Level 1
Tony Plummer has been the Head Coach at Clark since 2004.
Like most coaches, Coach
Plummer got involved with the sport as a very successful swimmer. He was a
4-year letterman and team captain at Conroe High School (Houston), before
moving on to Trinity University (San Antonio). He graduated in 1991 with a
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics and in 1992 earned a Master’s degree in
Teaching, also from Trinity.
Coach Plummer began his
coaching career at Lee High School (San Antonio) before moving on to Rowe
High School (McAllen). At every stop (including an extensive summer league
background), Coach Plummer was known as a “program builder”, someone who
could start from scratch and build a first-class program.
His program building
skills have already been recognized by his peers, being named UIL District
Coach-of-the-Year in both 2005 and 2006, and UIL Regional Coach-of-the-Year
in 2005. |
