Tournament Rules:
--> Quarter Length for Tournament Games 1-20: 5 minutes
--> Quarter Length for Championship Games 21-22: 6 minutes
--> Quarter Length for Championship Games 23-24: 7 minutes
--> Time outs allowed: 3 timeouts of 2 minutes each
--> Breaks: 2 minutes after the 1st and 3rd periods; 5 minutes at
half (teams change ends)
--> Changing Ends: IF directed by the Referee, teams will change ends
every period.
--> Ties played off per rule book:
-----> Two full overtime periods of 3 minutes each with a 2 minute break
in-between
-----> If still tied: Sudden Death 3 minute periods with 2 minute breaks
in-between
--> Desk: Each team must provide 2 desk workers or face a penalty.
--> The Winners of Games #21 & #22 qualify as SA #3 to the
Play-in game at the TISCA State Tournament!
--> The Losers of Games #23 & #24 qualify as SA #2 to the TISCA State
Tournament!
--> The Winners of Games #23 & #24 are the Regional Champions and qualify as SA
#1 to the TISCA State Tournament!
Safety Rules (Any player violating these rules may
be removed from the game, next game and/or tournament):
--> Feet First: All players must enter the water feet
first - NO flips!
--> Pool Entry: NO Entry allowed from blocks, under the bulkhead or
behind the goals
--> Warm-up Pool is for Swimming only; Passing warm-up must be done outside!
-----> Non-playing teams may NOT enter the competition pool between quarters.
-----> Players violating the warm-up rules will be disqualified from their next
game! --> Clean up your team bench area
immediately after each game!
--> Entry during a game: Feet first from team bench area
--> Exit during a game: Exit from closest pool side
--> Entry between games: Feet first from the opposite side of
the desk
--> Exit between games: Exit towards the desk side of the pool |
