Accelerated Reader is a computer-based reading incentive program that awards points to students for answering comprehension questions correctly. We currently have about 5000 quizzes for books in our library and more are being ordered throughout the year. Books that are included in the AR program are marked with a sticker at the top of the spine that says “Accelerated Reader” and has a red book on it. On the back of each AR book is another sticker that indicates reading level and point value as well as interest level. Students who have earned a cumulative total of 100 AR points may check out 3 books at a time. Everyone will be starting at zero points at the beginning of the school year to receive Beard AR rewards. The AR quizzes may be viewed below either alphabetically or by reading level.
