Congratulations!

Kerry Haupert, ESL Teacher working with Refugee students for the past three years was named Northside ISD’s 2011 Innovator of the Year. 

“I can’t believe I received an award for doing what I love and what is right for students. I am so blessed and honored,” said Haupert, an ESL teacher. “This means that more people in the district are becoming aware of these wonderful students that we are so blessed to have in Northside ISD.”

Burke Teacher named Region 20 2008-2009 Teacher of the Year

The Region 20 Elementary Teacher of the Year for 2010 has been named and is our very own Maricela Alarcon, Bilingual Teacher at Burke Elementary. She was selected by Region 20 judges from regional districts. She is now up for nomination in the statewide Teacher of the Year.

*Also named as a Finalist for Texas Teacher of the Year*
