Burke Teacher named Region 20 Teacher of the Year
The Region 20 Elementary Teacher of the Year for 2010 has been named and is our very own Maricela Alarcon, Bilingual Teacher at Burke Elementary. She was selected by Region 20 judges from regional districts. She is now up for nomination in the statewide Teacher of the Year.

Training available for certified teachers to become Special Education certified. This would be a great opportunity for Bilingual certified teachers to gain Special Education certification.
Online, self-paced preparation for the Texas Examination for Educator Standards, EC-12 Generic Special Education. Available for certified teachers seeking Special Education certification through the TExES.
Individual signing in can search by TExES certification or the workshop number AD90107-Q09. The training is through an online study with supporting face to face sessions.
