I'm a proud graduate of Texas A&M University where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Reading in 1989. I began my teaching career with the Department of Defense Dependents Schools in Okinawa, Japan, where I taught both first and second grades, then joined Northside Independent School District in 1993, teaching fourth grade at Brauchle Elementary for ten years. Upon completion of my Master of Arts in Educational Leadership at the University of Texas San Antonio in 2003, I served three years as Vice Principal at another beautiful Northside school, Dr. Joe Ward Elementary.   

Blattman Elementary has been my school home since 2006.  I served as Vice Principal for two years and am entering my fourth year as Principal.  If you ask anyone who knows me well, they will share with you that I love school! It's exciting to see the result of good instruction, collaboration, and meaningful learning experiences. Watching children grow in what they understand and are able to do is rewarding beyond words!
