NISD offers a wide variety of courses, from classes to allow students to take more advanced and varied courses during the regular school year; classes needed for remediation; enrichment courses and camps that allow students to explore and have fun while learning something new. Brandeis Orchestra News!!
Kevin Garcia-Hettinger, Brandeis Orchestra Director, is excited to share great news with the Brandeis community. The Brandeis HS String Orchestra has been invited to perform at the Midwest Clinic in Chicago in December 2013. It’s an international band and orchestra conference, and the last time Northside had a performing ensemble there was in 1978 with the Clark HS band! Being selected to perform is a huge honor and we’re so proud of these talented musicians!
A side note-the Midwest Board received over 160 applications. That's about 100 more that the state honor orchestra competition and only four string orchestras are selected to perform. The orchestra kids are really excited!
