Welcome!!
Welcome to the space mystery!!
Today, you will be using the Internet to search for information about space.
You will take a virtual tour of the planets. You will be looking at real
life pictures of the planets and do some fun activities that will help
you learn about the solar system. Enjoy your activities.
Activities
1. Take a field trip of our planets.
Click on the orange field trip button and then click on the planet that
you want to visit. To become an expert, you will need to visit all
of the planets. Take notes of at least two interesting facts about
each planet.
More information about the planets can be found here.
You will need to be an expert to pass the final activity, so read carefully.

2.Where, Oh Where does that Little
Planet Go?
Each of the nine planets orbits around
the Sun in a very special way and in a very special place. Can you arrange
them correctly? Print out the page because it will help you with activity
number 3.
3. Print out a copy of this page by
clicking the print button at the top of the computer screen. Use
the print page of activity 2 to help you answer the riddles. Tell
the teacher when you are ready to check your planetary knowledge.

4.Planet Tac Toe
Check to see if you can beat the aliens
in a game of Tic Tac Toe. You will need to be an expert to win. Be careful
because spelling counts. You can use your notes from activity 1 and your
printed sheets from activities 2 and 3 to help you. Good Luck.
Assessment
You and your partner need to show
what you have learned through your investigation through space. Create
a KidPix presentation showing the solar system in order from the sun to
Pluto. Then use Microsoft Word to create a story telling if the
planets are inner or outer planets and at least two interesting facts
about each planet and the sun. Tell your teacher when you have completed
the assignment and are ready to print your presentation. Then
you can enjoy a relaxing puzzle with your partner.
Great job!! Thanks for working
so hard. You and your partner can put the puzzle together.
