Ribbon Cutting/Celebration Event

This summer, four construction projects were in progress at Glenoaks Elementary:
1. A canopy was added from "D" Pod to our library. This canopy will provide protection from the elements as our students are transported to and from the main building. The contractors, in consulattion with NISD engineering project manager, Mike Boehmer, added lanscaping that enhanced the entire area.
2. Playground upgrades (Bond Election 2007) The front playground is now upgraded with not only an additional playscape, but is topped and leveled with mulch. The new ADA upgrades also included a beautiful extended concrete path with railings .
We are especially proud and the enhancements give the campus a fresh, new look. What a "Wonderful Welcome Back to School" for our students, staff and parents. We will have an "Official Ribbon Cutting" on August 24, 2009, the first day of the new school year.
