TAKS Math Test for Fifth Graders

Fifth grade students will complete the TAKS Mathematics exam today. Texas state law requires that students demonstrate mastery of the TAKS math exam to be promoted to the sixth grade. Students who do not demonstrate mastery of the exam on the first administration will participate in an acceleration program to fill in their learning gaps. Students will have three opportunities to demonstrate mastery. The second administration of the TAKS math exam for fifth graders will be on Tuesday, May 13th.
