TAKS Reading Test for 3rd-5th Graders

Fourth grade students will complete the TAKS reading exam to demonstrate mastery of fourth grade reading skills. Third and fifth graders who did not achieve a mastery score on the first reading administration in March will participate in this second test administration for them. Students who are absent on Wednesday may make-up the exam on either Thursday or Friday. Third and fifth grade students must acheive a passing score on the TAKS reading test to be eligible for promotion. Those who do not achieve mastery on the March or April administrations will be eligible for the summer STEP program and will take the third administration of the test on Wednesday, July 2nd.
