James L. Carson is one of three new schools in Northside I.S.D. which opened in August of 1998. It covers 83,135 square feet and houses numerous classrooms currently being used by about 1,000 students. The school’s unique design includes two state of the art computer labs, classrooms for special programs, comfortable workspaces for the staff, two separate playgrounds, and a beautiful amphitheater.
