E-mail allows you to send and receive messages electronically over the Internet instantly--in seconds. It's like sending a letter, instantly, over the phone lines. E-mail is the simplest and most widely used Internet tool. An example of an E-mail address is johndoe@nisd.net. NISD is currently considering several e-mail providers for the district's web-based e-mail provider for student use at school. One such provider that is currently approved is ePals: Student e-mail accounts will be implemented within the next two years. NOTE: Providers such as Hotmail, Yahoo, Angel Fire, and any other e-mail provider are not acceptable on District computers. Below are the acceptable uses for e-mail at school: Teachers may E-mail assignments to students. Students may E-mail completed assignments to teachers. Students may send E-mail messages to other students as assigned by their classroom teacher.
