Public Service Announcements

            Part of your responsibility as a citizen is to make the community a better place in which to live.  With your civic responsibility in mind, you are being tasked to produce a public service announcement which will help solve a problem you see here at Clark HS.  The PSA will educate underclassman on their responsibilities to the community, such as picking up your own trash or hallway etiquette.

            Our two days in the computer lab will include training on the Microsoft XP Movie Maker program and allow you time to complete the PSA.  Selective PSAs will be used on the daily announcements.

            The PSA topics are your choice, but they should not be offensive or cover topics which are too controversial.  If there is any question, ask me.

            Your PSA must include the following elements:

Length (between 1 and 2 minutes)  (20 points

One edited movie segment   (20 points)

One still picture  (10 points)

Music  (10 points)

Voice over or camera appearance   (20 points)

Screen message (at least one)  (10 points)

Transitions (vary)   (10 points)

            You should be able to finish the PSAs Thursday.  If you do not, you will need to work with your partner(s) out of class on the project.  I will begin grading them on Thursday, February 23, which means they must be finished the day before, February 22^nd.
