FIRST
You must turn in a one page paper explaining how a regular tessellation is produced. Use diagrams showing how you produced your own personal tessellation.

SECOND
1.
Draw your tessellation on a sheet of paper 11 inches by 18 inches.
2. Use markers and tempera paint to highlight your pattern and to produce a picture with more detail than a geometric diagram.
3. Mat your picture on a sheet of construction paper 18 inches by 24 inches.
THIRD
Write
a self evaluation of your tessellation. Comment on its positive aspects
and areas in which it could be improved. Is it executed neatly and
with attention to detail? Are you pleased with its aesthetic qualities?
Does your picture exhibit original thinking?
GRADING
Your grade on this project will be based on the following criteria.
1. Did you turn in the paper, the picture, and the self evaluation? 15 points
2. Did your paper display knowledge of how to produce a tessellation? Could someone reproduce your pattern following your directions? 20 points
3. Does your picture display the following characteristics: originality, neatness, attention to detail, aesthetics? 50 points
4. Does your self evaluation exhibit thoughtfulness and constructive suggestions for improvement? 15 points
