WHAT MUST THE PAPER INCLUDE?
- A
clearly written thesis sentence which is divided into these subjects:

conflict within the play Antigone
- The
same conflict in current events (three examples)
- At
least four paragraphs which include the following:
- An
Introduction to your chosen conflict which includes the author and title
of the play
- At
least one paragraph about this same conflict in Antigone
- At
least one paragraph about the same conflict in current events

conclusion
- Three
or more document quotations, paraphrases*, or references from the play
- Three
or more documented quotations, paraphrases, or references from current
events
- Quotations
and/or paraphrasing documented correctly

Works Cited Page
- Each
quotation must be introduced correctly.
- Turn
in with the paper the current event articles printed from the
Internet. Write your name on each
article and staple to the back of the paper.
*Paraphrasing: Putting information in your own words
EXAMPLE: Antigone had a major disagreement over a law
initiated by Creon. The law forbade the
burial of dead soldiers who did not fight for Creon, which affected Antigone’s
brother Polyneices (Prologue. 15-25).
