General entry may be submitted by an individual or teams of up to 6 Northside ISD students.

Large Team/Class entry may be submitted by teams of up to 35 Northside ISD students.

Each entry must be sponsored by a Northside ISD teacher or Campus Instructional Technologist at the submitting campus.

Elementary Schools are limited to 20 entries, Middle Schools to 30 entries, and High Schools to 40 entries. Each entry must be submitted to the CIT on your campus for processing. If more than the permitted number of entries are submitted to the CIT, a campus committee must select from these entries for district submission. A campus strategy might be to spread out your entries into as many different categories as possible.

All entries must be submitted in the specified file format (see each category description for details) or be disqualified.

All entries must be student-produced. However, guidance and instruction may be given by sponsoring adults. Younger students may need more guidance and technical assistance. Sponsors, parents, or other interested parties older than the student’s grade level should not develop and/or produce the entry.

All entries must be computer generated.

All entries must have an ACADEMIC FOCUS.

Entries must adhere to all applicable copyright laws. (See Fair Use Guidelines for Educational Multimedia. Products will be posted on a secure, password protected website.)

Entries must have been produced during the 2009-2010 school year.

All entries become the property of Northside ISD and no entries will be returned.

All entries must be entered in the database by the campus CIT between January 20, 2010 and April 1, 2010. No entries will be accepted later than 5:00 PM on April 1, 2010.

The "Digi Awards" will be held at Brandeis High School. Elementary "Digi Awards" will be held on May 19, 2010 and the Secondary "Digi Awards" will be May 20, 2010. The "Digi Awards" will begin at 6:00 PM.
