What you need:
- Qualified instructor(s). Northside ISD can only provide limited, informal support, via e-mail and telephone. Therefore, your instructor(s) must possess adequate technical and content-related skills. If used as an online course, the recommended instructor to student ratio is 1:15.
- Computers (generally - less than three years old - multimedia capabilities, Pentium-class, 64+ MB RAM) with Internet access
- Web server publishing space for student work: Your own server OR free hosting by GeoCities, Homestead, Angelfire, iRepublics, Xoasis, etc.
- If your school plans to teach the course online, the instructor will need to establish a private eGroup at www.egroups.com and students and instructor must have e-mail.
- Optional: The course utilizes 30-day trail downloads of Macromedia's Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks, and Director. If you are teaching the course in a traditional setting, rather than online, you may wish to purchase this software.
