Plant and animal life native to the desert is presented in a variety of ways that incorporate the use of different kinds of reference materials (i.e. dictionary). Activities are also available to teach children about habitats as well as vocabulary related to the desert. Students are encouraged to use their creative side in several activities found on this site to write similes, poetry, and booklets.

native to the desert. The students will
also be expected to write 5 interesting facts that they learned about the
