Learning Links School Hours and Dismissal Information
SCHOOL HOURS:
Students go to their classrooms at 7:35 a.m. every day. The tardy bell rings at 7:45 a. m. Your child will need to come to the office to get a tardy slip if he/she is not in the classroom when the tardy bell rings. If your child arrives at 9:00 a.m. or later, they will be considered absent unless they have a written doctor's excuse. Please make sure that you sign your child in at the office.
Classes are dismissed at 2:45 p.m. Students must be picked up before 3:00 at the front entrance. While we realize there are occasional times you may be late picking up your child, the office does not provide baby-sitting services. The Y.M.C.A. has a Prime Time program held here on campus for after school care. You may enroll your child in Prime Time by calling 681-9770. Students are not allowed to go to the playground, or to linger after the dismissal bell.
DISMISSAL:
If your child is to go home other than his/her usual way, we ask that you send a note to the teacher, or that you call the office as early in the day as possible so that we may get the message to your child and his/her teacher. The office cannot guarantee that messages received at 2:25 p.m. or later will reach your child in time to change the way he/she goes home. If the change is permanent, it must be sent to the school in writing by the next day.
