Karen Adler joined Northside's Communications Department in August 2006 with more than 10 years of professional experience in newspaper journalism.
Before coming to Northside, she spent six years at the San Antonio Express-News as a community, general assignments and education reporter. During her last three years at the newspaper, she covered both K-12 and higher education.
Prior to moving to San Antonio in 2000, Karen worked as a city and government reporter for the Lancaster Eagle-Gazette, the Westerville News & Public Opinion and the Big Walnut News, all central Ohio newspapers.
Karen has served as a board member for the Association of Women Journalists of South Texas and as the assistant site director for the 2004 and 2006 San Antonio National Writers' workshops.
