Pascual Gonzalez, a 27-year veteran educator, has worked in various capacities in Northside ISD. A former teacher at Jones and Hobby middle schools and Holmes High School, he also served as the director of Media Services and Library and Textbook Services. He directed the District's technology initiatives as the Executive Director of Media & Technology before returning to the Communications Dept. as the Executive Director.
He is a graduate of Southwest Texas State University where he earned his bachelor's degree in English and Journalism. He earned his master's degree in Educational Management/Leadership from Our Lady of the Lake University. Gonzalez is a highly respected school communicator who has held various leadership positions in state and national school public relations associations.
Presently he is serving as the immediate Past President of the Texas School Public Relations Association. He was named a National School Public Relations Association "Front Runner" for 2005. Also, in 2005, Gonzalez was named the "Public Relations Professional of the Year" by the San Antonio Chapter of Public Relations Society of America.
Gonzalez serves on the Advisory Board of Clear Channel Communications. He also serves on the Editorial Board to the General Council of the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, and was recently appointed to the Familia Conexion Community Council of the San Antonio Express-News Conexion newspaper. Gonzalez also serves on the Northwest Area Business Council Board of Directors of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce.
