Principal

Windy Barker graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Music Education and a Master of Science in English. She later received a Master of Education in Education Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio. She has taught English at the middle school, high school, and college levels, as well as fine arts, special education, and a gifted and talented program in middle schools. She came to Communications Arts from Taft High School, where she coordinated the Ninth Grade Success Initiative.
Barker has written for a variety of media, having work published in newspapers and magazines. She has written descriptive texts for movies for visually impaired audiences, and wrote and produced the Community Events Calendar for Texas Public Radio for ten years.
Believing that laughter is an essential element of every day, Barker and her husband raised two offspring (now wonderful adults), and currently share their home with an extremely furry dog of uncertain ancestry.

Mr. Neuenfeldt was born and raised in San Antonio. He graduated from St. Mary’s University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Mr. Neuenfeldt spent the following six years at William Howard Taft High School teaching IPC, Biology, Chemistry, Health, and Physics. After graduating from The University of Texas at San Antonio with a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership, he was hired as the Vice Principal at Communications Arts High School.
Mr. Neuenfeldt has been married to his beautiful wife for over seven years and they have two children. In his free time, Mr. Neuenfeldt enjoys watching baseball and softball games, playing guitar, traveling through the Texas Hill Country, and spending as much time as possible with his family.
Head Counselor
Kathleen Antoon graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. She later received a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She came to Communications Arts High School from Stevens High School where she was also a counselor.
Mrs. Antoon is married and has two children. Her free time is spent with her family, playing outside, watching movies and enjoying good food!!

Javier Proa graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He later received a Master of Science degree in Counseling and Guidance from Texas A&M-San Antonio. He came to Communications Arts High School from Luna Middle School where he was a special education teacher. He is at Communications Arts on Tuesday and Thursday and at Clark High School on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Mr. Proa loves spending time with family and friends. His free time is spent fishing at the coast, barbecuing, relaxing and shopping at Costco.

Mrs. Roberts and her family moved to San Antonio in 1987 from their home town of Tucson, Arizona. She has worked for NISD the past 20 years. Mrs. Roberts taught Arts & Crafts for 13 years for NISD Adult Community Education. She was Principal's Secretary/Bookkeeper at Northside Children's Center for two years before joining Communications Arts eight years ago.
Mrs Roberts is the glue that holds us together.
