2014-15 Yearbooks were distributed on PREP DAY. If you ordered and paid for a 2014-15 yearbook but were not able to pick it up on Prep Day, you will receive it through your Communications class during the first week of school.
Seniors who graduated and need to pick up a 2014-15 yearbook that is already paid for: AFTER August 12, you can stop by the main office at ComArts to pick up and sign for your yearbook.
Students who have moved or otherwise can't come to ComArts to pick up their yearbook: if you would like to have your Yearbook mailed to you, please send us a large (at least 8" x 12") self-addressed envelope with either $7.00 postage already affixed, or a separate check for $7.00 (payable to "CAHS") to cover the cost of postage. SCHOOL PICTURE INFORMATION FOR 9TH, 10TH, 11TH GRADERS
9th, 10th and 11th GRADERS will have their school pictures taken on Prep Day. These photos will be used on the portrait pages of the yearbook. If you purchased a picture package, you will receive it in September. If you chose not to purchase your pictures on Prep Day, but would like to buy them later, or if you have questions about your order, you can call Lifetouch Photography at 691-1284.
SENIOR PICTURE INFORMATION - CLASS of 2016
The deadline for having senior pictures taken for the yearbook will be December 1, 2015. Please note that although you are free to purchase your senior pictures from any photographer you wish, we can only publish senior photos taken by Prestige Photography in the Senior Portrait section of our yearbook. This yearbook picture is free and you are under no obligation to purchase any pictures from Prestige unless you choose to do so.
Seniors have several options for having their senior picture taken:
1. You can have your senior picture taken directly at the Prestige studios at your convenience -- call 690-1476 or go to www.prestigeportraits.com/sanantonio/ to make an appointment for your senior picture session. Just remember the deadline is December 1, 2015. If you choose to get a cap and gown portrait taken in addition to your yearbook photo, make sure the studio knows that you are a student at Communications Arts HS, not Taft -- we wear WHITE caps and gowns (Taft wears red).
2. There will be a Saturday session for seniors to have their pictures taken here at ComArts on a date in September, to be announced in August. Students will be able to sign up for appointments for this date in Mrs. Malik's room in early September. (There will be a makeup day at ComArts in November, for students who cannot attend this Saturday session, but students may only sign up for an appointment time that is during an elective class on this day.)
PLEASE REMEMBER! The deadline for having senior pictures taken for the yearbook is December 1, 2015. Do not wait until Thanksgiving break to call for your appointment! They will already be booked up by then.
Seniors who have already had their senior picture taken: choose which pose you would like to appear in the yearbook. Upon receipt of your proofs, go to shop.prestigeportraits.com to select your choice for your yearbook picture; you will need to create a simple login, and you will need to have your session number information from your proofs package. (You can also call 210-690-1476 or 1-800-736-4775.) If you have not received your proofs after 4 weeks, please call 210-690-1476.
SENIOR AD INFORMATION - CLASS of 2015
The final deadline for reserving an ad in the 2014-15 yearbook will be March 15, 2015. Ordering information will be mailed to all senior parents in the Fall of 2014. Please contact email@example.com if you would like more information; you may reserve your space now and send in your order form later.
A variety of sizes and prices are available:
- a quarter page ($80),
- half page ($150) and
- full page ($275)
If you would like to purchase an ad, you have two ordering and payment options:
- To order online and pay with a credit card, go to our yearbook publisher’s secure website at yearbooksforever.com, enter the name of our school, click "Buy Personal Ad," and then follow the instructions there to create an ad online. (Ad prices are the same, but there is an additional $5 service charge.)
- Complete an order form and return it to ComArts (via fax, regular mail or in person), along with your payment and any photos or other graphics that you would like to use. You may submit photos as digital files on a CD or flash drive, or as hard copies which we will scan and return safely to you. You may design the ad layout yourself, or let our staff do it for you. We promise to keep the ad a secret if you wish.
