As you know, one of the critical components of a student’s success at school is parent and family involvement, and I recognize that as this school’s leader of instructors, I must provide parents, teachers and students opportunities to meet and enjoy each other’s company in a wholesome environment.

A most effective and entertaining forum for this experience is the PTA’s upcoming P.A.C.E. Family Movie Night scheduled for Tuesday, January 31, 2012.   In addition to being a fun filled evening for all, this event includes an important public service gesture because we are encouraging all attendees who have it within their means to donate new or un-used school supplies that will be donated to our students in need of the items to start off their second semester at Connally in a prepared and organized fashion.    Please make plans to attend this gathering of concerned parents and educators, because the focus of the event is on promoting academic success for all of our students. We are strongly encouraging this investment of your time (7:00pm – 8:30pm). Please peruse the flyer contained in this news letter for details regarding the evening’s activities.

With your much needed support and assistance, Connally will continue to “Set the P.A.C.E.” in academics, community service, and parent involvement.   I look forward to seeing you January 31 at the P.A.C.E. Family Movie  Night!

Principal's Message

As we race through the school year, the time is fast approaching for our first administration of the STATE of TEXAS ASSESSMENT of ACADEMIC READINESS (STAAR), and in order for our school to Set the P.A.C.E., we must utilize the combined efforts of our students, parents, and educators in a manner like never before. The challenge before us is great, yet we are poised to succeed because at Connally, "Failure Is Not An Option" for any student on any item, test, challenge, or day. Parents, please remind your children daily of the importance of staying focused on instruction, and closely monitor their performance to insure that they are completing all assignments. Please contact teachers as needed with questions or to request additional support.
As testing season dawns, I am confident that working together, we can continue the Connally tradition of academic excellence.
