The American Heart Association and Aetna have teamed up to award a Teaching Garden grant to Rita Kay Driggers Elementary!
This program uses a school garden to teach students about nutrition and inspire them to eat more fruits and vegetables.
They will also learn how to plant seeds, nurture growing plants, harvest produce, and ultimately understand the value of good eating habits.

The Book Fair is a great way to get everyone excited about reading.
Science murals are going up in our 5th grade hallway. Murals were funded through our school-wide Fall Popcorn Fundraiser. Our science murals will be a daily reminder of science concepts in the areas of all sciences (life, physical and earth) for all our students.
