Campus facilitators provide assistance in instructional improvement efforts on each campus and serve as content area contact people for the elementary specialists. At the discretion of the principal, campus facilitators will have duties and responsibilities in the following areas:
 

Instructional
  • Ensure implementation of campus and District instructional programs and policies.
  • Assist with coordination of preparation, tutoring, and remediation for TAAS as appropriate.
  • Assist with the implementation of curriculum materials and newly adopted textbooks. 
  • Provide leadership in developing departmental and District programs and curriculum. 
  • Serve as a resource person to other teachers 
  • Help identify error/problem spots in curriculum materials 
  • Provide assistance to teachers new to the camps 
  • Model teaching techniques for staff members seeking strategies for improvement of instructional delivery. 
  • Assist principal and Division of Instruction in developing and conducting staff development programs 
  • Assist, at the direction of the principal, with the implementation of the school improvement plan. 
Communication
  • Communicate information from principal/instructional specialist to staff. 
  • Communicate with principal or instructional specialist as needed with concerns/staff needs. 
  • Communicate special campus content related events to the District Communications Department and local newspapers. 
Organization and Management
  • Prepare departmental budget, originate purchase requests, and distribute materials. 
  • Plan and conduct necessary committee meetings. 
  • Check, maintain and update inventory. 
  • Attend meetings -- principal/instructional specialist and act as liaison to teachers. 
  • Become familiar with content area software.
