Northside ISD is partnering with Methodist Healthcare to offer the HealthPOWER Weight Loss Challenge. The weight loss challenge is designed to help NISD employees begin life style changes which will improve their overall health. Employees who participate will be part of a group at their campus or department, will receive support materials, and will have the opportunity to compete for individual and campus/department prizes.

Dates of Challenge

The challenge begins September 1, 2012 and lasts 3 months – your challenge begins on your weigh in date and ends no later than 3 months after this date. You must weigh out within the 3 month period in order to complete the challenge and be eligible for incentives.

Weigh in/Weigh out Period:

Weigh in (start of challenge): From September 1, 2012 to October 19, 2012

Weigh out (end of challenge): From December 1, 2012 to January 19, 2013

Challenge Prizes

Individual Winners - There will be 3 winners

Each winner will receive $500.00 cash and a Trek bicycle

Campus / Departments Winner - There are 4 levels.

Each level will receive cash for their Wellness Program

• High School Level - will receive $1,300.00
• Middle School Level - will receive $1,050.00
• Elementary School Level - will receive $850.00
• Support Department - will receive $800.00
