The mission of Northside Education Foundation is to support education in Northside ISD.  All donations go into the Bunny Jean Raba Endowment Fund. The interest earned from the endowment funds the NISD Grants Program for classroom innovation and enrichment.
Employee Pledge Drive results in donations of $125,698.63. Bunny Jean Raba Endowment Fund approaching $2,000,000.
Designated Funds - Current List

Donations to NEF can be earmarked to support designated (restricted) funds and can be managed separately from the general (endowment) fund.  Anyone interested in creating a new fund can contact NEF.  Current Designated Funds are listed below.  To donate, make your check out to NEF and add the name of the Designated Fund to the check.
African American Leadership Scholarship Fund – for graduating seniors from any Northside ISD high schools.  Must be of ¼ African American heritage.

Los Leones Student Artfest Fund – Northside Student Artfest, a partnership with the City of Leon Valley, NEF, and NISD. 

Northside School Museum Association Fund – restoration of the old Leon Valley School (1929) and opening of NISD School Museum, Alumni offices, Foundation office,  Partnerships office Volunteer Center.

Cathy Young Memorial Scholarship Fund – for graduating seniors from Clark High School in memory of Clark teacher Cathy Young.

Business Careers High School Scholarship Fund – for graduating seniors from BCHS, a school-within-a-school at Holmes High School devoted to business and finance.

STCP (Advanced Statistics) Fund – staff development grants to teachers who are working with students to develop winning research projects in State, Regional, or International Science Fair competitions.

IGNITE Fund - benefits NISD students who participate in the Gifted and Talented (ALPHA) with competitive grants to GT Teachers.  ALPHA stands for Advanced Learning Programs for High Achievers.

New Designated Funds can also be created for specific schools or programs through Northside Education Foundation.  Contact NEF to determine eligibility.  Currently, Designated Funds exist for the following schools’ enrichment:  Fernandez Elementary (Fernandez Family Shaping the Future Fund), Ward Elementary, Locke Hill Challenge Lab, O’Connor Ag-Gerlach Livestock Show & Sale, Rayburn Middle School, Sul Ross Middle School, Michael Elementary, Raba Elementary (Raba Family Fund), NISD Aquatics Program, Audio-Impaired Program, New Teacher Academy, and Parenting Education, Learning Tree, Solar Cars and Access 21 (after-school program) Funds.
