NISD had the largest team running in this year’s San Antonio Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon. With the support of 20 business sponsors, the 200-member team had its entry fees paid and each team member received an official NISD T-shirt to wear.
Placing second in the female division and the first Texan to cross the finish line, Lackland City ES Nurse Elizabeth Malesich finished the race in two hours, 53 minutes, and 8 seconds. She finished 27th overall in the marathon.
