Recycling - Ink, Cell Phones, Laptops, and PDA's (Palm Pilots)

Galm participates in the Cartridges for Kids recycling program to recycle our used ink cartridges, cell phones, laptops, and PDA's. This not only helps our environment, but earns money for our school as well.

We appreciate your help with bringing in these items from home or work instead of throwing them away. We cannot recycle tonor cartridges, so please do not send those.

We have a new incentive! While supplies last, each person who brings in 4 qualifying items (cell phones, ink cartridges, laser cartridges, laptops, DVDs, or palm pilots) will receive a free Earth Saver bracelet! To receive a bracelet, please turn in all 4 items at once and include your name and your teacher's name.

If possible, it would be helpful if you brought the cartridge or cell phone inside an original box (like the box you get from the new ink you replaced it with). This keeps them from getting damaged during shipping. We do not get paid for damaged cartridges.

Feel free to drop them off in the front office or in the computer lab, room C106.

If you would like more specific details you can browse through the Cartridges for Kids Web site by clicking on this link.

Also feel free to ask or email the CIT, Cassandra Carter, at cassandracarter@nisd.net, if you have any questions.

Thanks again for all your support!
