do I register my child?
You can register your child in the Colby Glass office. Please
bring the following documentation:
Documentation for Registration of New Students:
Birth certificate (original copy with the state seal
in order to make a copy)
Proof of residence (current utility bill or lease)
Immunization records (must be current with shots to enroll)
Social security card (not mandatory)
Photo identification of parent/guardian registering the child
Withdrawal papers from previous campus
What
is needed to register a returning student or from another Northside
campus?
If you are registering at Colby Glass Elementary from another
NISD school, parents must complete an AGR card and provide proof
of residence (utility bill or lease).

What
is needed to meet eligibility and register a student for Kindergarten?
Kindergarten Eligibility Requirements are the following:
In order to be eligible for Kindergarten, the child must be five (5)
years old on or before September 1st.
Documentation for Kindergarten registration:
Birth certificate (original copy with the state seal
in order to make a copy)
Proof of residence (utility bill or lease)
Immunization records (must be current with shots to enroll)
Child’s Social security Card (not mandatory)
Photo identification of parent/guardian registering the child
What
is needed to meet eligibility and register a student for Pre-Kindergarten?
In order to be eligible for the Pre-Kindergarten Program, your child
must be:
1. 4 years old on or before September 1st AND
2. unable to speak and comprehend English, Limited English Proficient
as determined by the Home Language Survey and the Bilingual Syntax Measure
OR
2. Come from a family whose income, according to standards set by the
State Board of Education, is at or below subsistence level (based upon
the free/reduced lunch income guidelines).
OR
2. Considered homeless
OR
2. Come from a family whose parent or official guardian is "active duty"
military personnel or whose parent or official guardian was killed or
injured while on "active duty".
Documentation
required for registering for Pre-Kindergarten:
Birth certificate (original copy with the
state seal in order to make a copy)
Child's social security card (not mandatory)
Immunization records (must be current with shots to enroll)
Proof of residency (utility bill, lease)
Proof of income (current paycheck stub(s) - 1 if paid monthly,
2 if paid biweekly, 4 if paid weekly
Those families on food stamps must bring the Notice of Eligibility; families
on TANF must bring the Benefit Letter from the welfare agency. Those
families who have received a Predetermined Notice of Eligibility for
the lunch program from the Northside Food Service department must bring
the letter at registration.
Preschool School Hours: 7:45 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.
or 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
