We are happy to announce that Glenoaks is the recipient of the Exxon Mobile Educational Alliance Grant for the sixth consecutive year. This grant is awarded through the Exxon Mobile station located at the corner of Babcock and Wurzbach. The station manager is Mr. Chris Franklin.

The grant is in the amount of $500.00 and is utilized for student incentives to promote character education development at Glenoaks. We offer our sincere thanks and gratitude to the Exxon Company in general, and to Mr.Franklin in particular for their commitment to education, and to our Glenoaks students.

The Glenoaks students worked hard in recycling 7,520 phone books! Recycling these phone books kept them out of our landfill and helped keep San Antonio beautiful. Francisco Martinez, Executive Director of Keep San Antonio Beautiful and Clean, along with Kay Morris, presented Glenoaks with a check for $1,000. Lisa Madsen, Vice-Principal is accepting the check on behalf of our school. The money will be utilized for activities and materials for our students. Thank you students for all of your efforts in recycling 7,520 phone books. To learn more about keeping San Antonio clean and beautiful visit the website ksab.org.

We would like to thank the residents of the Newforest Estates Retirement Community for their monetary contribution to Glenoaks. During Neighbors Night Out the residents placed a jar to collect money to assist our families with supplies for this school year. Connie Sonnen is presenting our principal, Janette Felder, with the donation.
