TEA Acknowledgement
We’ve just received word that HCHS has received a 2006 Gold Performance Acknowledgement. The GPA system is used to acknowledge districts and campuses for high performances on indicators of performance other than those used to assign accountability ratings. Of 13 possible indicators, HCHS was recognized in 12 of them for outstanding performance.

Recognition was given for the following:

• Completion of Advanced Courses/Dual Credit Enrollment
• Advanced Placement Results
• Number of Students Achieving Commended Performance in Reading/ELA, Math, and Social Studies
• Attendance Rates
• Improvement in Math
• Improvement in Reading/ELA
• Number of Students Graduating Under the Recommended or Distinguished Graduation Program
• SAT/ACT Scores
• TSI-Higher Education Component
• ELA and Math Scores

Again, this is a recognition of the hard work of all of you.
