Let me introduce myself. I am Pamela Ann Dooley, Campus
Instructional Technologist for Health Careers High School in
the Northside ISD in San Antonio, TX.
My journey to this position
started back in the 1970's when I discovered my first computer.
I took a BASIC programming class and I was hooked. I bought
my first computer, a TRS-80 Color computer in 1982. I eventually
moved up to a Apple IIe computer with 64 k ram...who would
ever need more than that?
I decided to take the certification test to teach
computer literacy in 1985. In 1990 I had an opportunity to
teach computer literacy in the NorthEast ISD. That year the
school switched from Apples to IBM machines running DOS. I
had 2 weeks to totally relearn everything I knew about computers.
I loved it!!
In 1999 Northside ISD decided to start the CIT
program. I applied and was hired at Health Careers High School.
I love my job and couldn't see myself doing anything else.
