I was born in Baton Rouge , Louisiana , but was
raised in Houston . I
attended the University of Texas , graduating with a Broadcasting
degree
in 95. After working at a small local station, I began substitute
teaching. Teaching was such an easy fit for me, and I thoroughly
enjoyed
working with the kids. I became certified to teach in 1997. My
wife and
I moved to Kansas City in 1999, where she finished her doctorate
and I
completed a masters degree from the University of Kansas . Jeni
was
offered an assistant professorship at UTSA in 2001, so we packed
our
bags and moved to San Antonio . This is my 10th year of teaching,
all
spent in 4th and 5th grades. I enjoy learning anything new, thus
reading
is a big hobby of mine. I also play basketball frequently, love
baseball, and try to stay in shape. Jeni and I have one son, Eli,
who
just started Kindergarten, and one daughter, Bethnay! I will be
completing a program for my Administration certification this Spring-
but not to worry, I'm not going anywhere. I'm excited for a great
2006-2007. Hook 'Em for one more championship!
