There father has already died because of the evil things. Now Ryushi want's to survive and Kia want's revenge. together they fight and hide. Why I Like It: I thought it was a great book and it had a lot of action. If you want an action book Broken Sky is the book to get! Recommended for: Fifth Grade Title: Dear Mr. Henshaw Author: Beverly Clearly Reviewer: Steven Grade: Fifth Grade It's About: Dear Mr. Henshaw is about a kid named Leigh Botts and he is not living a perfect life. When he was little his parents got a divorce so he lives with his mom. His dad never calls when his dad says he will. And someone is stealing his lunch. Why I like it: I think it was good Recommended for: Fifth Grade Title: Soup for President Author: Robert Peck Publisher: Dell Publishing Reviewer: Brittany Grade: Fifth Grade It's About: Well Miss Kelly's class decides to have a Presidential election so the boys separate from the girls and they call themselves the Apes and the girls decided to call themselves the Amazons. The apes pick Soup as their president and and the Amazons pick Norma Jean Bissel. Soup's campaign manager is Rob and Norma's is Janice Riker.Too bad Rob's sweetheart is Norma. Norma writes a letter saying that she will be his girlfriend if he votes for her. They try and get Soup to win by writing Soup's name on a barn, but they spell his name wrong. In the end Rob votes for Soup and Soup wins by won vote. Why I Like It: I thought it was a great comedy, but I think it should be a third or fourth grade book. Don't get me wrong, it was a real funny and cute book. I would read it again. Recommended For: Third or Fourth Grade Title: The School Story Author: Andrew Clements Illustrator: Brian Selznick Publisher: Scholastic Inc. Reviewer: Jade Grade: Fifth Grade It's About: This Book is about a girl named Natalie whose father died when she was little and her mom is a publisher. She wrote a book called "The Cheater", her best friend Zoe thinks that she should get it published. but she doesn't think that her mom will let it get published, but Zoe convinces her to get it published and they ask a teacher for help and Zoe acts like she is her agent named Zee Zee and Natalie's name is Cassandra Day but then Natalie doesn't know if its legal to have a different name so they ask Zoe's dad that is a lawyer he says its fine so they do. When Natalie's mom figures out she is really proud and happy for her and her book is a best seller. Why I Like It: I thought it was the best book I ever read and I LIKED IT SO MUCH that I bought the book and I think it will be a best seller for a very long time. I told a lot of my friends about it and they really liked it to but not as much as I do if I had the chance to meet Andrew Clements I would, trust me!!!!!! Recommended for: Third Grade, Fourth Grade and Fifth Grade |
