Hello! My name is Jill Palmer, and I am a fifth grade teacher. This is my 5th year at Helotes Elementary where I've previously served as a kinder, 1st, and 4th grade teacher; and it's my 12th year teaching overall. I love being a bulldog, and can't wait to meet all of my new students each fall. I previously taught at Thornton and Powell Elementary. In graduate school, I got to teach college students too.
I have lived all over Texas--in Houston, Lubbock, and Waco. My family moved to San Antonio in 1984 where I attended Northside schools including Glen Oaks Elementary, Hobby and Rudder Middle School, and Clark High School. I hold a bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and Early Childhood Education from The University of Texas at San Antonio, a masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Baylor University, and I returned to UTSA last year to finish my principalship certification as well.
I live with my husband, Marte, and our two daughters, Abby and Sarah, aged 2 and 5. We also have a cat, Clara, and our black Chihuahua, Thor. My hobbies include spending time with our extended family, traveling, gardening, reading, singing, assisting in Sunday School, and working on my web page-mrspalmersclass.com.
Thank you for visiting, I hope you enjoy my site and find it informative. Please send me an email if you have any questions. |
