Sponsors: Officers: Information: By-laws (.pdf file) The requirements of NHS members are that they participate in both fundraisers, attend all the meetings (usually 4 or 5 a year), maintain a GPA of 89.0 or higher, help with the Induction Ceremony, and complete a minimum of 10 hours of community service. Incoming members (eligible juniors and seniors) are selected by our entire faculty and staff based on their service, leadership, and character (the academic part is already taken care by meeting the 89.0 minimum GPA). This process occurs during the month of February and the new members are announced in March. Our March meeting for the current members is an important one because they receive scholarship information and must fill out a "final form" on which they document their community service hours, fundraising totals, and number of meetings attended. This form is their "ticket" to getting their collar for graduation. The kind of community service projects we've done include:
