In addition to following the student code of conduct, we would expect the student to treat others, as they would like to be treated.  We want them to respect the equipment and building and take care of their personal property.   We do require that they follow all the safety rules of the class.   The law requires that safety glasses and hearing protection be worn at all times in the shop.  These glasses must meet the requirement of the state code of Texas.  Repeated failure to wear safety glasses or hearing protection could mean removal from the course.

Any student that is tardy to class 3 times or receives an unexcused absence will loose the privilege to bring his/her vehicle to class for 1 week.  A second unexcused absence will result in a loss of privileges for 2 weeks.  A third unexcused absence will result in the loss of privileges for the rest of the 6-week grading period.  (15 minute tardy is considered an unexcused absence)
