In 1992, the Senior Classes of 1990 and 1992 of O.W. Holmes High School instituted the O.W. Holmes Hall of Fame. The aim is to offer formal recognition to those graduates who have become successful, and who, through their success, provide the youth of our community or the community in which they reside a positive role model. The first year, three graduates were inducted; the following years an average of three graduates have been inducted. A Hall of Fame Fund is supported by contributions from graduating classes and donations from individuals and organizations wishing to see this induction continue for many more years. A reception and formal induction ceremony is held during the Faculty Awards night in May. New Inductees will have their pictures and a brief vita featured in the fall football programs as well as on the Hall of Fame website. Former inductees who attend this year's ceremony will also be featured in the football programs along with the new inductee. |
