Use the Internet Resources to complete the Assignment below. When you have finished, answer the Big Questionthat asks you to combine a lot of what you learned through the treasure hunt into a "big picture."

Assignment

Use the Internet Resources provided below to help you find the required information for your assigned author and poem.
  1. List at least 5 interesting and important pieces of biographical information in addition tovital statistics about the author.
  2. Give sufficient background information about your assigned poem to allow your audience to understand and enjoy the poem.
  3. Identify all literary elements present in your poem.  These elements will help you explain why the author wrote the poem and what he is trying to say.  They are elements such as apostrophe, metaphor, simile, personification, imagery, etc.
  4. Identify all Romantic Period characteristics that are present in the poem.
  5. All members of the group must present part of the presentation.  If you have more than four people in your group, you must give additional information about the poem.
