The growth is a testament to the quality of the schools in Northside ISD, which is one of the largest and the most diverse school districts to earn a Recognized rating from the Texas Education Agency.

NISD is the fourth largest school District in Texas and is one of San Antonio's largest employers. The District opens three to five new schools a year, and enrollment is projected to hit 100,000 by the 2013-2014 school year.
