| Thank you for your interest in one of the most difficult jobs in education--substitute teaching. It is a little known fact that children will rely on the skills and abilities of substitute teachers for over one full year of instruction between kindergarten and twelfth grade. NISD recognizes the contributions made by its substitute teachers and supports their efforts toward maintaining continuity of instruction in the absence of the full time teachers.
The purpose of this website is to provide information that will support and assist substitute teachers in Northside when preparing to carry out their duties and responsibilities. The major categories of support provided are: Frequently Asked Questions, Internet Resources for Substitutes, the NISD Substitute Teacher Handbook, Special Education Information, and a list of NISD Schools.
Substitutes and NISD employees can also access the Substitute Evaluation forms from this site. And persons interested in applying for substitute positions with the District can access information regarding the Substitute Application Procedures and other information.
