ISD On Line Application is best viewed using Netscape
4.5 or higher or Microsoft Internet Explorer
5.0 or higher. The On Line Application will ask
for specific information in the same manner as a regular
paper employment application. Please have all pertinent
information ready before you begin the application.
IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE:
Effective January 1, 2008, Texas law requires that all prospective school employees submit to a fingerprint supported criminal history background check and be cleared for employment.
If you are offered a position in a Texas school district, you will be required to pay a non-refundable fee to submit a fingerprint supported criminal background check prior to beginning employment. |
ALL APPLICANTS
The On Line Application has certain required fields
that must be completed; this will be noted with a
red arrow point: [ ] You may use the mouse or tab key to move from field
to field.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
When you provide your phone numbers, enter the area code first, followed by the 7 digit number--no dashes or parenthesis. Make sure that the number you enter for "call back" is the number at which you want the automated substitute calling system to reach you.
EDUCATIONAL HISTORY
If applicable, you will list colleges/universities attended, graduation date, and degrees earned.
Official transcripts submitted to NISD for review must be from Colleges and Universities accredited by the U.S. Department of Education. NOTE: Do not have colleges or universities send transcripts to the Substitute Office; have them send them directly to your residence so you can bring them with you to the Substitute Office with your application and other documents.
PROFESSIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE
List pertinent information related to your last three full time or part time positions. You will need the names and phone numbers of previous supervisors.
IMPORTANT REMINDER!
When you have completed your application, print out your application and bring it to the Human Resources Substitute office on Monday through Thursday between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS
Do not complete a new application if::
- You have a change of address or phone number; phone or email this information to the substitute office (397-8606.)
- You receive your teaching certificate subsequent to completing the application; phone or email the substitute office.
