Hello Booster Club Member,

As the proudest club on campus, you are automatically a member of the Booster Club since your son and/or daughter is participating in the athletic and/or spirit organization. The Booster Club supports both the boys and the girls in varsity, jv and freshman teams. We also support the girls that are involved in the spirit organizations such as the Pep Squad, Fillies and Cheerleaders.

The Booster Club was established to help support the athletes of John Jay. We assist with purchasing equipment for all the organizations not provided through their own budgets. We have also been able to award our students with academic scholarships.

In the past years the purpose of the Booster Club has been to raise money through our successful fundraisers such as the football program ad sales, BBQ plate sales, mustang merchandise and our annual golf tournament. All this is possible with the help and support of the parents of our athletes.

Another source of funds that we earn through Northside Independent School District is working at the concession stand for the NISD varsity games such as football, basketball and baseball. We rely heavily on parent volunteers to work at these assignments. Our Booster Club has never been assessed a fine for insufficient worker for any event, and we want this positive reflection on Jay to continue.

Being a part of your Booster Club, you will get a heads up of what is going on with the athletic and spirit departments and what upcoming events are happening on campus, since the coaches and administration attend all our meetings.

We understand that everyone has busy schedules; but if you can commit to one concession assignment or help sell procurements, we would greatly appreciate any time you can give us. Parent participation is very important in a young athlete's life, and a good way to be a part of your son and/or daughter's success.

Without parental participation, our program would not be the success it is today. We would greatly appreciate if you could volunteer to work one concession assignment. With everyone's help and participation, we can prevent any fines assessed by NISD, which means that more money will come back to our athletes at Jay.
