The Task

You are completing an internship that is in the career field in which you are most interested. Your employer has been quite pleased with your attitude and skills and has asked you to design a fact sheet and other recruiting materials. Currently there are a limited number of qualified individuals seeking employment where you work. Your employer would like you to help change that.

Upon completion of this task you will prepare a resume to reflect the experiences you've had during your internship. After a search of job postings, write a cover letter to use with your resume.
 
 

The Product

You will be asked to speak at a recruiting fair and will need to prepare a 2-sided fact sheet and a brochure to inform potential candidates of the profession. Also, you might wish to consider other ways to attract qualified employees.

You will need to come up with a design that shows you are informed about the various aspects of your profession and aware of personnel requirements. It will need to have at least 4 convincing arguments for why someone would want to pursue this career based on the facts that you gather.
 

Your fact sheet should include:

• Explain the mission of people in the profession.
• How is this occupation related to other occupations? How is it different?
• What advancement opportunities are available for persons pursuing this career?
• Indicate professional organizations and any socially relevant projects in which they are involved.
• Describe an entry level position with the company and the qualities of someone who would be hired for that position.
